Queering the Future of AI

The Opportunity

Canada is in the middle of a digital transformation. This is our moment to build inclusion in from the start, not add it later. It’s a competitive advantage that improves products and talent retention. By embedding inclusion into Product, HR, Marketing, and Operations, we ensure AI works for all Canadians.

Tech serves whoever builds it. Inclusion is innovation.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry but bias and exclusion are being coded into the systems that will define our future.

The reality is that 2SLGBTQIA+ people and other equity-seeking communities are often invisible in the data, policies, and teams shaping AI.

Without intentional design, AI risks replicating inequity, limiting opportunity, and amplifying discrimination. Tech serves whoever builds it—and right now, the industry is missing out on efficient practices and sustainable innovation.

QT Inclusive AI is a national initiative to make sure artificial intelligence strengthens equity instead of undermining it. We’re rolling out free toolkits, assessments, and training to help make Canadian tech economically sustainable, competitive, and built on one core idea: Inclusion is Innovation.

By embedding inclusion across all stages of the AI lifecycle - and across key company functions that contribute to its development, deployment, and exponential risk for causing harm - QT Inclusive AI helps to ensure these powerful technologies work for all people and communities.

What we’re building

For SaaS, AI Product Teams & Leaders

Exclusion and harm show up across the whole AI lifecycle from early ideation and problem framing to the actual datasets and models.

For HR Teams & Leaders

Organizations are struggling to apply intersectional thinking to their policies. This leads to hiring risks and algorithmic bias in talent management that create real legal and ethical problems.

For Non-Profit Leaders

There is a critical need to make sure AI tools represent 2SLGBTQIA+ realities so that millions of Canadian users can avoid harmful stereotypes or misinformation.
