Montréal, QC - [04, 10, 2026] | Today, national nonprofit QueerTech is proud to announce that it has received funding through RBC's approach to helping strengthen the capacity of Canada's nonprofit sector. This support advances our QT Leaders: Nonprofit Digital Futures Program, a national initiative designed to strengthen digital governance, AI-informed leadership, and sector resilience across Canada’s nonprofit ecosystem.
QT Leaders: Nonprofit Digital Futures is a national series of virtual and in-person learning experiences running from April to November 2026. The program centers lived experience and sector expertise, facilitating ecosystem knowledge sharing, applied practice, and collaborative problem-solving among nonprofit leaders navigating digital transformation.
“Nonprofit leaders are increasingly being asked to make complex decisions about AI, digital governance, and technology adoption, often with limited resources,” said Eustacio Andy Saldaña, Chief Programs & Community Officer at QueerTech. “QT Leaders: Nonprofit creates a space for leaders to learn from one another and build practical approaches to responsible AI and digital governance that strengthen their organizations and the sector as a whole.”
Through this initiative, 2SLGBTQI+ nonprofit leaders will have the opportunity to engage in:
Facilitated virtual roundtables focused on AI integration, data governance, and digital readiness
Regional in-person leadership conversations
Ongoing shared documentation and resource development to support sector-wide learning
The program is designed to produce measurable outcomes, including increased leadership confidence, strengthened digital readiness, clearer AI decision-making criteria, and documented governance practices that can be scaled and shared across the sector.
RBC's approach to helping strengthen the capacity of Canada's nonprofit sector recognizes the critical role that nonprofits play in driving economic and community impact across the country. By supporting QT Leaders Nonprofit, RBC is helping invest in leadership models that respond directly to workforce resilience pressures, digital transformation challenges, and emerging AI-related decision-making realities.
