QueerTech Welcomes Bobbie Racette to Board of Directors Montreal, QC - September, 2024 | QueerTech is proud to announce leading tech entrepreneur, Bobbie Racette to their Board of Directors. This appointment, effective in August, marks a new era of growth and impact for QueerTech; particularly in areas of support for 2SLGBTQIA+ tech, or tech-enabled, entrepreneurs. Bobbie Racette is the true definition of QueerTech’s mission, personified. As an Indigenous, Métis-Cree, 2SLGBTQIA+ leader, Bobbie has turned personal adversity into a relentless drive for equity for all. A visionary entrepreneur, she is the Founder and CEO of Virtual Gurus - a two-sided talent marketplace, enabled by a proprietary algorithm, machine learning and human expertise, that connects businesses with remote assistants who may traditionally face barriers to employment. Virtual Gurus was named in The Globe and Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies in 2023. As a champion of diversity and inclusion both within and outside of her business, Bobbie is proud to be the Chair of the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation’s Board, a Director on the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation Board, the recipient of the 2022 Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year Award, EY’s Winning Woman of 2022, and was named the Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023. “I’m thrilled to join QueerTech’s Board of Directors.
