Discussions include innovative business approaches, building inclusive cultures, navigating challenges, future trends, and the importance of community support. This event is perfect for 2SLGBTQ+ founders, allies, and those exploring the intersection of queerness and entrepreneurship, from seasoned entrepreneurs to beginners.

ABOUT THE PANELISTS:

Pranata Chowdhury, Founder & CEO at Ugrow 

Pranata is an innovative entrepreneur and the visionary founder of Ugrow, a pioneering B2B upskilling startup leveraging AI technology to deliver job training courses at unprecedented speeds. With a rich background in e-learning, Pranata honed her skills at York University, where she played a key role in developing and delivering cutting-edge e-learning courses. Her expertise is not limited to the educational sector; she has also demonstrated exceptional ability in managing technology projects, contributing her talents to both the government of Ontario and the City of Toronto. Pranata's unique blend of experience in education, technology project management, and her commitment to leveraging AI for professional development, positions her as a leading figure in the upskilling and e-learning industries.
 

Barb Taylor, Founder at Reconceive.app 

Barb is an accomplished digital strategist with 15+ years experience leading and collaborating with digital teams within companies such as CBC and Corus Entertainment. Most recently she led as Content Principal at Telus Digital. Prior to that she was part of a founding team creating a simulation game prototype on the world-wide health issue of infertility. She’s also conducted research to determine the impact of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) as Senior Digital Strategist for the City of Calgary. A long time advocate for DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) she’s very happy to see the development of organizations such as QueerTech! She’s the recipient of the Corus Innovation Award for an online radio station and a Webby Honoree for a CBC Masseys experimental website. Her animation experience includes Tomboy, recipient of the CBC Canadian Reflection Award. Currently she’s working on her first long format animation script.
 

Noah Crampton, Co-Founder & CEO at Mutuo Health Solutions 

Dr. Crampton is a family physician practicing at Toronto Western Family Health Team. After he graduated, he pursued a career as a clinical research because he knew in his lifetime that digital technology would likely transform his career as a physician and he wanted to have a say on the direction of that. Today he is working diligently to advance the field of electronic medical records as an affected method of improving quality of care across populations.  He completed his masters in health informatics at the University of Toronto. He is now CEO of a budding successful start-up based in Toronto called Mutuo Health. His company is commercializing his research: he and is team created a state-of-the-art AI medical scribe tool called AutoScribe. Since launch in April 2023, it is being used by over 350 healthcare providers across Canada.
