Breakfast Event - Building an Inclusive Innovation Economy: Insights on Queer Entrepreneurship and AI Readiness

Description

QueerTech, in partnership with the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce, will host an invite-only breakfast in Ottawa, bringing together entrepreneurs, ecosystem partners, government officials, and representatives from the Government of Canada for networking, remarks, and a dynamic panel discussion that you will not want to miss!

Canada is at a pivotal moment for both queer entrepreneurship and the future of artificial intelligence. This event will open with new national insights on the state of queer entrepreneurship in Canada, highlighting both the opportunities ahead and the real economic cost when inclusive policies fall behind. The findings point to how gaps in support, outdated frameworks, and missed policy signals are holding back innovation and growth for queer-led businesses.

A panel discussion will then turn to artificial intelligence as a live example of why inclusion matters. As AI reshapes Canada’s economy, the conversation will explore how bias in data, design, and governance creates risk, and how more inclusive approaches can strengthen innovation, trust, and competitiveness.

Together, the discussion will connect entrepreneurship, policy, and technology, inviting leaders across sectors to consider what Canada stands to lose through inaction — and what becomes possible when diverse founders are part of building the future and powering the next generation of entrepreneurs in Canada.

This is an invite-only event; transfer of the invitation is not allowed without prior approval.
This is an English-speaking event.
