YWCA BC is a longstanding leader in advancing gender equity and building inclusive communities across British Columbia. With roots dating back over a century, the YWCA delivers more than 80 programs and services that support individuals and families across parts of British Columbia, including affordable housing, education and mentorship, employment services, childcare, legal supports, and more.   At its core, YWCA BC is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. The organization explicitly advances gender equity alongside women, families, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse people, and embeds an intersectional approach in all aspects of its work — recognizing how gender, race, sexual orientation, ability and other identities intersect to shape people’s experiences.   A shining example of this commitment is the YWCA Believe Program, a free employment and community support initiative for self-identified LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse newcomers and refugees, providing career coaching, workshops, and wraparound support tailored to affirm participants’ identities.   Through advocacy, direct service, and community partnerships, YWCA BC plays a vital role in supporting equity, belonging, and opportunity for LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities throughout Vancouver and the surrounding region.   By registering for this event, participants agree to QueerTech's Event Terms & Conditions.
